Missing Adjective

Today Chicago is bracing for a rally of 300,000 to 500,000 people in support of "immigrants." Wait just a minute. Chicago has always been a vibrant mosaic of Poles, Italians, African-Americans, Latinos, and others. The question isn't the noun, "immigrants," but the adjective that goes before it.
