Name, Rank, and Haircut Number

First, there was the "sleep number." Now there is the haircut number. When did they start numbering men's haircuts, and why didn't I get the tutorial? Used to be, the stylist (who was called a "barber") asked whether you wanted a "layered" or regular cut. Now, you're just a number in the assembly line, and if you don't know yours, the whole thing grinds to a halt. So, men, be sure you know your number. Your good looks depend on it.
