Will History Repeat Itself?

This candidate was touted as the Democrats' best hope to take back the White House from a party the liberal activists despised (and assumed everyone else did, too). So they held their noses and got behind this candidate, even though there were obvious problems both ideologically and personally. Then the votes rolled in, and the activists were shocked that their anti-Republican candidate didn't win.

I'm talking about the 2004 vote of course. But I'm wondering if we'll see a similar scenario play out in 2008 with Hillary Clinton.
